It was casting director Mukesh Chhabra who discovered Sanjana Sanghi while she was performing on stage in her school and she was then cast in Rockstar.
In 2017, she appeared as Young Mita Batra in the Hindi-language comedy-drama film, Hindi Medium, starring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar.
She has also played the character named Katty in the 2017 Hindi-language comedy film, Fukrey Returns.
Sanjana Sanghi co-starred alongside Sushant Singh Rajput in the 2020 Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic drama film, Dil Bechara, based on John Green‘s 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars. The film was released on July 24, 2020, on Disney+ Hotstar and features the final film performance by Sushant Singh who passed away in June 2020.
Within the first 24 hours of the release of Dil Bechara, it was watched 95 million times.
